Xavi Pallejà Català, Reus 1974. Although being connected to Falset on my father’s side, my first true contact with the comarca (county) of Priorat happened thanks to the studies of Viticulture and Wine-making. On becoming a young farmer in 1996 my first investment was a purchase of a plot of old vines on a slope called la Serra de les Aubagues. Ever since, I have admired the views through the colours of the seasons, I have lived through droughts and hail storms, I laughed and I cried, I have enjoyed myself and I shared experiences with colleagues from the grape- growing and wine-making profession – because growing vineyards on slopes is extremally hard and it requires a lot of will and self-motivation.
In 2016 I have started a new project – making my own Vi de Vila (village wine) called Buxus de les Aubages. The project not only allowed me to create my own brand but also taught me how to express it and market it. Now is the time to enjoy this moment… #BUXUSTIME
